Jeddah

Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, is located on the Red Sea and is known for its tradition and modernity. The port city is a cultural center with impressive historical sites, luxurious shopping malls and a lively seashore. As in every Arab city, there are also some great mosques here. Particularly worth seeing is the old town of Jeddah, Al-Balad, the Corniche, a beautiful coastal strip with parks and cafés and the King Fahad Fountain, which is one of the highest fountains in the world with 312m high water jets. Jeddah has some great museums; one particularly worth seeing is the Team Lab, an interactive museum where you are part of a virtual world.
